Yousef has a Master’s degree in Environment “Dynamics of Territories and Societies” from Paris Sorbonne University.

He has worked 14 years as Environmental Specialist at Environment Protection and Development Authority and supervised the environmental projects and plans in mining companies. Since 2016, Yousef has been working as a Mining Expert– Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure – UAE. He has worked in preparing Environmental Impact Assessments for different projects including mining projects and implementing environmental management plans and strategies.

Yousef is also involved in setting strategies for mining sector in UAE and feasibility studies for investment opportunities in mining sector and other projects for developing the sector.

Recently, he worked in different technical projects like Geothermal Energy Atlas and Minerals and Rocks Atlas in UAE, UAE Mining Strategy, Geophysical and Geological Database, Mineral Industries Survey, Sea Level Rise Study, 3D Modeling for Mineral Exploration, Designing Capacity Building Program for Mining Sector.

Yousef has also presented several work papers on mining sector in UAE in local and regional conferences and workshops.
